FUEL SYSTEM (Continued…)
Fuel is stored in a four
(4) part integrated system with a total
capacity of 150 gallons (568 liters).
- The main
tank located in the fuselage beneath the engine and pylon with a capacity of 40
gallons (151 liters).
- Two wing
tanks located inboard of the main gear with a capacity of 34 gallons (129
liters).
- Two fuel
tanks located in the sponsons on the wings with a combined capacity of 14
gallons (53 liters).
- Two
external fuel tanks with a combined capacity of 62 gallons (235 liters).
All
fuel contained in the wing tanks, sponsons and external tanks is transferred
into the main fuselage tank. The fuel
transfer system, operated from a fuel control panel in the cockpit, is a simple
system to manage, and provides a great deal of flexibility for a multitude of
mission requirements.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
The SEAWOLF has a 28-volt electrical system. The system consists of an engine-driven 100 amp. alternator with circuit breakers and switch breakers to protect the electrical components. An optional standby emergency generator is available. The system has been designed to effectively support the full scope and range of today's sophisticated electronic equipment.
